There is this concept of a cool kitchen. For many, including myself, it’s that space you see in movies and stories alike, perfectly equipped with no detail left to chance.
But the idea can differ. To others, it is that one great location where you sort out every dinner date with your significant other. Perhaps there’s so many examples like these, we could ramble on and on about a cool kitchen, but there is even more to say about the idea of the coolest kitchen. On the planet.
The Paper Mill Studio is a conceptual art creating team based in London. They make cool things seem the coolest. In their portfolio we find The Photo Studio, The Office, The Loft, and now, The Kitchen. But what makes their wonderful space be the coolest kitchen on planet? First of all, it’s the kitchen interior design. It’s both retro and modern, chic and playful, minimalist in the most perfect kind of way. It’s in here where your culinary experiments should be brought to life, while a morning with your loved one must be a part of any memorable day.
At daylight, the place is a complete delight. It’s spacious and comfortable, giving you reasons to smile every time the sun is bathing you in the summer, falling on you through the glass made roof. When it’s raining, you have time to think about yourself and recharge the batteries. The kitchen is, of course, equipped in full. What stood out to me isn’t that great working space available or the tower mounted electric ovens. It’s the scale, visible on the counter. It’s maybe just a small detail, but it makes a certain difference. Being not only vintage, it’s a depiction of the time when the scents arising from inside my mother’s kitchen made me want to stay a kid forever and freeze the time, forever enjoying those special moments.
